the equal side of the triangle be (x-4)

the two equal sides of the triangle be 2(x-4)

2(x-4)+x = 55

=) 2x-8+x = 55

=) 2x+x = 55+8

=) 3x = 63

=) x = 63/3 = 21

Ans:- The third side = 21m

The two equal side = (21-4) = 17m
