Let the length of third side be a units
length of equal sides = (2a -5) units
now, perimeter = 55
⇒a + (2a-5) +(2a-5) = 55
⇒5a =65
⇒a =13
so length of sides are 13 m, 21 m and 21 m
length of equal sides = (2a -5) units
now, perimeter = 55
⇒a + (2a-5) +(2a-5) = 55
⇒5a =65
⇒a =13
so length of sides are 13 m, 21 m and 21 m

Let the third side be x
So,
Another side=2x-5
Since the another side is equal to this side...
Therefore another side=2x-5
Since perimeter=55m
therefore 3rd side=x+2x-5+2x-5=55
5x-10=55
5x=55+10
5x=65
therefore x=13m
since, x=13m
therefore another equal sides are 2x-5
therefore other equal sides are 21m
So,
Another side=2x-5
Since the another side is equal to this side...
Therefore another side=2x-5
Since perimeter=55m
therefore 3rd side=x+2x-5+2x-5=55
5x-10=55
5x=55+10
5x=65
therefore x=13m
since, x=13m
therefore another equal sides are 2x-5
therefore other equal sides are 21m
