Answer:

Let the length of third side be a units

length of equal sides = (2a -5) units

now, perimeter = 55

⇒a + (2a-5) +(2a-5) = 55

⇒5a =65

⇒a =13

so length of sides are 13 m, 21 m and 21 m.

SOLUTION

Let the length of third side be x m.

Then, the length of the two equal sides will be (2x-5)m.

Therefore,

=) (2x-5) +(2x-5)+x= 55

=) 2x-5+2x-5+x= 55

=) 5x-10= 55

=) 5x= 55+10

=) 5x= 65

=) x= 65/5

=) x=13

So,

Length of the third side = 13m

& length of the other two equal sides

=) (2×13)-5

=) 26-5

=) 21m

Hope it helps ☺️
