let third side is x.

so other two side is 2x-5

so perimeter of triangle =sum of all three side

55=2x-5+2x-5+x

5x=55+10

x=65/5=13

let the two equal lengths be l

then l=2x-5  or x=l/2+5/2

so peri meter =l+l+x=2l+x

=2l+l/2+0.5=55

2.5l=54.5

l=21.8

x=10.9+2.5=13.4
