let the third side of the triangle be x metres

then each of the two equal sides are 3 x -4 metres

perimeter of the triangle is equal to 55 metres

so, X + 2 (3 X - 4) =55

X + 6 x -8=55

7 x = 63

therefore x is equal to 9 metres

show dimensions of the triangle are 9 ,23,23

hope it helps.
