Answer:

Let the third side be=x

Two sides=3x+2

According to the question,

2(3x+2)+x=67

6x+4+x=67

7x+4=67

7x=67-4

7x=63

x=63/7=9

Hence, one side=9

Other two sides =3x+2=3.9+2=29

Given :

Two equal sides of an isosceles triangle are each 2cm more than thrice the third side. The perimeter of triangle is67cm.

To find :

Find the lengths of it's sides.

Solution :

Let the third side be 'a' cm.

∴ Each equal side = (3a + 2) cm.

Perimeter of Δ = Sum of 3 sides.

⇒ 67 = (3a + 2) + (3a + 2) + a

⇒ 67 = 3a + 2 + 3a + 2 + a

⇒ 67 = 7a + 4

⇒ 67 - 4 = 7a

⇒ 63 = 7a

⇒ a = 63/7

a = 9

∴ Each equal side = 3a + 2 = 3(9) + 2 = 27 + 2 = 29 cm.

∴ Third side = a = 9 cm.

Lengths of it's sides are 29 cm, 29 cm and 9 cm respectively.
