Let ABC be an isosceles
And, the equal sides be AB and BC respectively.
Now,
=> AB = BC
=> 3x-1 = 2x+2
=> 3x - 2x = 2 + 1
=> x = 3
Therefore, AB = 3x - 1
=> AB = 3*3 - 1
=> AB = 9 - 1
=> AB = 8 ut.
Then, AC = 2x
=> AC = 2*3
=> AC = 6 ut.
And, BC = 2x + 2
=> BC = 2*3 + 2
=> BC = 6 + 2
=> BC = 8 ut.
Hence, Perimeter of an Isosceles = 2a + b
=> P = 2*8 + 6
=> P = 22 ut.

if the sides 3x-1 and 2x+2 are equal

then

3x-1 = 2x+2

x=3

then the sides are

2(3) + 2 =6+2=8

then two eqaull sides are 8 and 8 each

unequal side =2x =2*3 =6

then the perimeter =8+8+6 =16+6= 22

perimeter =22

Ommani: it is wrong yr
Ommani: bcoz when u add 8 + 8 + 6 it becomes 22 not 24
gaurav2013c: calculation is wrong in last line
abhi569: thanks
abhi569: now it is correct
