Answer:

  • Perimeter of isosceles triangle = 22 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Two equal sides of isosceles triangle = (3x - 1) units and (2x + 2) units.
  • Third side of triangle = 2x units

To Find:

  • Value of x.
  • Perimeter of triangle.

We know that in isosceles triangle there are two equal sides.

So,

⇒ 3x - 1 = 2x + 2

⇒ 3x - 2x = 3

⇒ x = 3

So sides of triangle are:

  • 1st side = 3x - 1 = 3 × 3 - 1 = 9 - 1 = 8 cm
  • 2nd side = 2x + 2 = 2 × 3 + 2 = 8 cm
  • 3rd side = 2x = 2 × 3 = 6 cm

Now, we will calculate perimeter of triangle.

⇒ Perimeter of isosceles triangle = 1st side + 2nd side + 3rd side

⇒ Perimeter of isosceles triangle = 8 + 8 + 6

⇒ Perimeter of isosceles triangle = 22 cm.

Hence, Perimeter of isosceles triangle = 22 cm.
