Two equal sides of an isosceles triangle are (5x - 7) and (2x + 2). The third side is 2x.

Given,

in an isosceles triangle,

two equal sides are ,

5x -7 and 2x +2

so,

=>5x-7 = 2x + 2

=>5x-2x =2+7

=>3x=9

=>x=3

the sides are,

5x-7 = 2x +2

so you can put the value of x in any of the above two.

so, the equal sides will be

= 2(3)+2

= 6 + 2

= 8 cm

the third side = 2×3 cm

= 6 cm

hence the perimeter of the triangle = 8 + 8 + 6 cm

= 22 cm
