Two equal sides of an isosceles triangle are 5y-2 and 4y+9 units.third side is 2y+5 units. Find y and the perimeter of the triangle

Answer:

perimeter = 4y+9 + 5y-2 + 2y +5

= 11y + 12 units

11y+12 = 0

11y = -12

y = -12/11
