Gliding joints are planar joints that basically joined at a flat articular space.
Gliding joints are created in the wrist’s carpal bone and in palm’s metacarpal bone.
Gliding joints are also created axially in neck’s skeleton and some are formed in between ribs and sternum.
They are responsible for flexibility in joints like the AC joint present in shoulder.
