Length of square = 72m

Perimeter = 4a = 4*72 = 288m

Area = a^2 = 72*72 = 5184 msq

Perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square = 288m

length of rectangle = 80

perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B)

288 = 2(80+B)

144 - 80 = B

B = 64

Area of rectangle = L*B = 80*64 = 5120 msq

hence we can tell area of square is greater

5184 - 5120 = 64 msq

by 64msq square area is greater than that of rectangle

perimeter of square=72×4=288m
perimeter of rectangle= 2(80+b)= 288
= 80+b= 144 m
= b= 64m
area of square= 72× 72= 5184 sq m

area of rectangle= 80×64=5120 sq m

area of square is greater by 64 sq m
