Students appearing in exam Total girls=3/5*350=210 Total boys=350-210=140 Let total boys be x then, 2/5*x=140 X=140*5/2=350 Let total girls be y then,  3/4*y=210 Y=210*4/3=280 Total strength=210+280=490

Answer:

630

Step-by-step explanation:

1 step :-let a= boy, b= girl

2/5a +3/4b=350 --------(I)

3/4b = 3/5×350

b=280

2 step :- putting b=280

2/5a + 3/4×280=350

2/5a + 210= 350

2/5a = 350-210

2/5a =140

a= 350

3 step :- 280+350=630
