Two football players of opposite teams collide while they are trying to hit a football on the ground and after colliding they move off together. One with a mass of 60 kg was travelling with velocity of 5.0 m/s and other with mass of 55 kg with velocity 6.0 m/s was running towards first one. what is the direction and velocity they move in after colliding?

The direction will decided by the on which ie having maximum momentum as compared to both the bodies and the velocities
1. 60*5 = 300 momentum SI UNIT
2.55*6 = 330 momentum SI UNIT
AND THUS
addition of both the momentum
330+300 = 630
Divided by the total mass will give you the resultant or final velocity
630/115 = 5.47 m/sec.
Direction will be towards the one having low momentum
