The resultant will be maximum when they act in same direction hence making an angle of 0 degree.

Then maximum = 10+14= 24 N

Now, resultant will be minimum if they act in opposite direction i.e. making an angle of 180 degree.

Then minimum= 14-10= 4 N..

Max force is 24 N and Minimum force is 4 N.

The individual forces are 10 N and 14 N.

Now, for maximum resultant of forces will be:

  • The forces are parallel and in the same direction, i.e. angle between them is 0°

F_{max} = 10 + 14 = 24 \: N

Now, for minimum resultant:

  • The forces are parallel and in the opposite direction, i.e. angle between them is 180°.

F_{min} = 14 - 10= 4 \: N

Hope It Helps.
