The magnitude of force b is equal to  112N

Explanation:

The net force is 452 Newton. This means that a+b = 452N

  • It is said that the magnitude of the force a is equal to 340 Newton. equating the value of force a in the equation given above, 340+ b =452 N or b= 450-340 = 112 N .
  • Hence the force which takes place in the direction of b is equal to 112 Newton in magnitude
