the formula for resultant force is

f = √ f1² + f2² + 2f1× f2× costheta

now putting the values we get

5√3 = √ 5²+ F2² + 2×5× f2× cos60

squaring both sides

75 = 25 + f2² +10f2× 1/2

50 = f2² + 5f2

50 = f2 ( f2+5)

now 50 = 5× 10

f2 = 5 (on comparison)
