Answer:

18N

Explanation:

f1=10n

f2=8n

net force=f1+f2

=10+8=18n

(since both the forces are acting in the same direction)

Given :-

Two force of 10 N and 8 N

To Find :-

Net force

Solution :-

This can be done by 2 method.

• Method : 1

Since, they are in straight line so,

 \bf \red{ Net  \: force = A + B}

Net force = 10 + 8

Net force = 18 N

• Method : 2

We know the vector formula

 \bf \blue{ \sqrt{ {a}^{2}  + b {}^{2} + 2ab \cos( \theta)  } }

Where

cos ∅ = 0⁰

Since they are in straight line,

So angle is 0

 \sf \:  \sqrt{ {10}^{2}  + 8 {}^{2} + 2(10)(8) }

 \sf \:  \sqrt{100 + 64 + 160(1)}

 \sf \:  \sqrt{260 + 64}

 \sqrt{324}

 \sf \: 18  newton
