F1=3i+4j

F2=3j+4k

F(resultant)= 3i+7j+4k

|F|=(9+49+16)^1/2

(74)^1/2N

prajakta392: your calculation is wrong it's a 74^1/2

Given :

Two force vector :

\vec{F_1}=3i+4j

\vec{F_2}=3j+4k

To Find :

The magnitude of the resultant force .

Solution :

We know , resultant of two vector is given by :

\vec{F_{net}}=\vec{F_1}+\vec{F_2}\\\\\vec{F_{net}}=(3i+4j)+(3j+4k)\\\\\vec{F_{net}}=3i+7j+4k

Now , magnitude of resultant force is given by :

F_{net}=\sqrt{3^2+7^2+4^2}\\\\F_{net}=8.6\ units

Hence , this is the required solution .
