Hey mate
Resultant depend on the angle between the two forces
I'm assuming two cases here
** First case --
When both are in same direction...
resultant will be sum i.e.
= 5.5+3.5 = 9N
** Second case --
When both forces are in opposite direction..
resultant will be difference of the magnitude i.e.
= 5.5-3.5 = 2N
Hope it helps
Thanks

It depends on the angle between the forces.the maximum value of their sum is 3.5+5.5=9Nand the minimum value is 5`5-3.5=2N
