two forces of 4 dyne and 3 dyne act upon a body the resultant force on the body can only be b/w 1 and 7 dyne how ?

If the forces are acting in the opposite directions of the body then the resultant force is 4 dyne - 3 dyne = 1 dyne
If the forces are acting in the same direction on the body then the resultant force is 4 dyne + 3 dyne = 7 dyne
