Resultant force

= Sqrt(A² + B² + 2ABcos theta)

= Sqrt(80² + 70² + 2×80×70×cos 150)

= Sqrt(80² + 70² -2×80×70×0.8660)

=Sqrt(6400+4900-9699.2)

= Sqrt(1600.8)

= 40.010 N

The resultant force of the two forces is 40 N.

Explanation:

Given that,

Force 1, F_1=80\ N

Force 2, F_2=70\ N

The angle between two forces is 150 degrees. The resultant of two forces is given by :

F=\sqrt{F_1^2+F_2^2+2F_1F_2\ cos\theta}

F=\sqrt{80^2+70^2+2\times 80\times 70\ cos(150)}

F = 40 N

So, the resultant force of the two forces is 40 N.
