Two forces of magnitude 20N and 50N act simultaneously on a body.
Then, Resultant of forces must be given by formula ,
\mathbf{F=\sqrt{F_1^2+F_2^2+2F_1F_2cos\theta}}
you know, cosθ lies between -1 to 1
due to this reason resultant of forces must lies between |F₁ - F₂| and |F₁ + F₂|

Hence, it is clear that resultant of 20N and 50N forces lies (50-20)N = 30N to (20+50)N = 70N
Here only one 20N force out of range.
so, option (a) is correct choice.
