Two forces of magnitude 7 N and 5N act on an object at an angle O,where O can be any angle. find the minimum and maximum force on the object​

If the two forces act in the same direction and are parallel to each other, then the net force is

 

7 N + 5 N = 12 N

 

 

If the two forces act in the opposite direction and are parallel to each other, then the net force is

 

7 N - 5 N =2 N

 

 

If the two forces act perpendicular to each other from a common point, then the net force is

 

√(144 + 25) = √(169) = 13 N

 

 

The lowest resultant force we have is 7 N, so the minimum net force we can have is 7 N.
