We have two forces of magnitude f and 2f are acting on a body

.) Now we have to find the type of motion in which the body will movie due to the resultant force .

Now , first we will find the resultant force , let R be the resultant of the two forces. Now also angle between both the forces is 0 as both the forces are parallel to each other .

.) Now we know that ,

R = [ (f)^2 + (2f)^2 + 2(f)(2f)cos0 ]^1/2       (magnitude of resultant vector)

=> R = [ 5(f)^2 + 4(f)^2 ]^1/2

=> R = 9f

.) Also both the forces are parallel i.e direction of resultant will be equal to the direction of both the forces.

Hence , body will move in straight line ( rectilinear motion ) under the resultant force.
