Two friends observe a bright object in the sky at night that was not twinkling. One friend says that object is a star and other says it is a planet, who is correct among the two and why?​

Reason:-

  • Because of very small distance between earth and planets as compared to stars the twinkling of planet is almost negligible and it seems to be a steady bright object whereas stars seems to be twinkling because of their large distance from earth and refraction from the atmosphere of earth.
