two friends start running in opposite directions from the place at the same time at the speed of 4 km per hour and 4 m per second respectively. find distance between them after 30 minutes.

SPEED= 4KM/HRS

TIME=30MINS=0.5 HOURS

DISTANCE=?

WE KNOW,

SPEED=DISTANCE/TIME

4=DISTANCE/0.5

DISTANCE= 2KM

CASE 2-

SPEED=4M/S=0.004KM/HRS

TIME=0.5 HOURS

DISTANCE=?

WE KNOW,

SPEED=DISTANCE/TIME

0.004=DISTANCE/0=5

DISTANCE=2M OR 0.002KM

THEREFORE TOTAL DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM AFTER 30 MINUTES= 2.002KM OR 2002METERS.

speed of Q =  72/5 kmph

By thinking logically,

⇒ If P travels 4 km in one hour then he can travel 2 km in 30 mins.

⇒ Similarly, if Q travels 72/5 km in one hour then he can travel 36/5 km in 30 mins.

So Distance between them = 2 + (36/5) = 9.2 km
