1. Leaves helps in making food. This process is called Photosynthesis. During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

2. Leaves perform a process called Transpiration. Transpiration means loss of water in the water vapour.
