two gongs strike at intervals of 60 and 90 minutes respectively at what time will they strike together again if they start simultaneously at 12 noon

You need to find the lowest common multiple, LCM, of 60 & 90 that is 180.

Both will strike at 180 minutes past 12 noon...

That is at 3 pm.
