Two heater,one rated 440W at 220V and the other 880W at 220V,are connected in parallel to the electric supply at 220V (i) draw a circuit diagram to show the connection (ii) calculate the current drawn from the electric supply by the heater.

b) current can be calculated as below

I_1 = \frac{P}{v} =\frac{440}{220}

I_1 = 2 A

I_2 = \frac{P}{v} =\frac{880}{220}

I_1 = 4 A

 Total current drawn = 4+ 2 = 6 A
