Two identical bodies of different merals are acted
upon by equal forces which cause them to move
on a frictionless horizontal surface. The
acceleration of the first body is found to be
4 times of that of the second. What is the ratio of their masses.

As Force= mass × acceleration

mass= Force/acceleration

For 1st body

m1=F/4a

For second body

m2=F/a

Ratio=m1:m2 =F/4a×a/F

m1:m2=1:4
