the heavy rifle will hurt the shoulder more as it will provide more reaction force on our shoulder as it has more mass
according to Newton's third law of motion every action has an equal and opposite reaction .
and also it will produce more momentum on our shoulder than the light rifle as
momentum = mass × velocity
in the case of heavy rifle the mass and velocity both are more so the momentum will also be more but in case of light rifle the mass is less than that of heavy rifle , so heavy rifle produces more momentum and can hurt our shoulder
