Given that

mass of the ring =m

radius = r

We know that ,mass moment of inertia of a ring axis passing through center

I_1=m r^2

mass moment of inertia of a ring axis passing through its diameter

I_2=\dfrac{1}{2}mr^2

The total mass moment inertia of the two rings

I=I_1+I_2

I= m r^2+\dfrac{1}{2}mr^2

I=\dfrac{3}{2}mr^2

Therefore the mass moment of inertia will be \dfrac{3}{2}mr^2
