q₁ = 60C

q₂ = -20C

When the spheres are brought in contacct they will share their charges,

hence,

q₁ = q₂ = q = (q₁ + q₂)/2

q₁ = q₂ = q = (60 - 40)/2 = 20/2 = 10C

Therefore,

q₁ = q₂ = q = 10C

r = 10cm = 10/100 m = 1/10 m = 0.1m

k = 9×10⁹

Hence,

Force = F = kq₁q₂/r²

F = kqq/r²

F = 9×10⁹×10×10/(0.1)²

F = 9×10⁹×10⁴

F = 9×10¹³ N
