Two identical metallic spheres X and Y have exactly equal masses. Now X is positively charged and Y is given an equal negative charge. Then after charging
1. Masses of X and Y are equal.
2. Mass of Y is greater than Y.
3. Mass is not involved.
4. Mass of X is greater than Y.

THE ANSWER IS 2. I WANT EXPLAINATION.

Yes....!!

Actually Transfer of Charges Means Transfer of Electron, And We Know Electrons Have Mass Too. X Is Positively Charged Means Electrons Is Given Out, Which means A Little Amount Of Mass Has Been Taken Out And Given To Y....!!!

Hope You Got Your Explanation ...!!!

Answer:

Mass of Y is greater than X

Explanation:

This is because negative charge in the sphere is due to addition of electrons so mass of y is greater than that of x.
