(I) in series
(ii) in parallel, in turn to battery of 6 volt. calculate the ratio of power consumed in combination of resistors in 2 cases

hey dude ....
here is ur answer.....!!!

1)in series
10 + 10 = 20Ω

now find the current
I=V/R
=6/20
=.3A
now power
P1=V(I)
=6×.3
= 1.8W

2)in parallel

1/R=1/R+1/R
=1/10+1/10
R =5Ω

now current
I=V/R
=6/5
=1.2A

power,P2=V×I
=6×1.2
=7.2W

Ratio. P1/P2
=1.8/7.2
=.25W.

thanks...!

R1 = R2 = 10ohms

(i) When connected in series

Rs = R1 + R2 = 20ohms

(ii) When connected in parallel
1 ÷ Rp = 1/ R1 + 1 / R2
1/ 10 + 1/10 = 2/ 10
1/ 5= 5ohms
Now, P. In series so we use formula
V^ \ R.s = 6×6÷ 20 = 1.8w
Now in parallel, same formula
6×6, ÷ 5 = 7.2 w

Now the ratio, power of series÷ power of parallel = 1.8 ÷ 7. 2= 1÷4*

Hope it will help u,
so the ratio becomes 1:4
