The two bodies are kept in a orbiting artificial satellite. hence, there is no gravity acting on them.
so, only Coulomb's repulsive force acts on the bodies. this force repel two charges untill there is maximum separation between them.
now, the maximum separation between two charges = 2 × length of string
= 2L [ given, length of string is L ]
hence, tension in the string is due to the force of repulsion.
T = KQ²/(2L)²
T = KQ²/4L²
hence, the tension in the strings = KQ²/4L²
