Two identical spheres each of radius R
at centre-to-centre spacing 4R as shown in the figure. They are charged and the electrostatic force interaction between them is first calculated assuming them point like charges at their centres and the force is also measured experimentally. The
calculated and measured forces are denoted by Fc and Fm respectively. (Fc and Fm denote magnitude of force) :-

(1) When they carry charges of the same sign Fc>Fm and when they carry charges of opposite signs Fc<Fm only when they are insulators
(2)When they carry charges of the same sign
Fc>Fm and when they carry charges of opposite signs Fc<Fm only when they are conductors.
(3) When they carry charges of the same sign
Fc<Fm and when they carry charges of opposite signs Fv > Fm irrespective of their material.
(4) When they carry charges of the same sign
Fc>Fm and when they carry charges of opposite signs Fc<Fm irrespective of their material.

Two identical spheres each of radius Rat centre-to-centre spacing 4R as shown in the figure. They are charged and the electrostatic force interaction between them is first calculated assuming them point like charges at their centres and the force is also measured experimentally. Thecalculated and measured forces are denoted by Fc and Fm respectively. (Fc and Fm denote magnitude of force) :- When they carry charges of the same sign Fc>Fm and when they carry charges of opposite signs Fc<Fm only when they are conductors. ( Option 2 is the correct answer)

  • In physics, a force is a measure that can further an object's movement. An object with mass may accelerate or extradite its velocity as a result of pressure. Another intuitive definition of force is a push or a pull.
  • A pressure is a vector quantity since it has both direction and significance.
  • Force is an outside agent able to converting the nation of relaxation or movement of a given frame.
  • It has a purpose and a path. The software of pressure is the element in which pressure is implemented, and the path in which pressure is implemented is referred to as the pressure's route.
  • A spring balance can be used to measure the force. The SI unit of pressure is Newton(N).
  • Magnetic pressure is the force that an external magnet applies to other magnets.
  • Because they are non-touch forces, magnetic pressure and electrostatic pressure exert their influence on an object remotely.
  • Objects are subjected to the alluring pressure of gravity as they pass through the Earth, which causes them to descend to the ground. A frame's weight is the force that is applied to the earth when it is drawn toward the centre.

Hence, When they carry charges of the same sign Fc>Fm and when they carry charges of opposite signs Fc<Fm only when they are conductors.
