two identical springs with spring factor K1 and K2 first connected in parallel then in series with same rigid support reduce the expression for time period if k1=k2=k what would happen to time period in both cases​

when they are in parallel the effective k=k1+k2=2k (As given in the question)

hence the time period can be found out using 2π(under root(mass/k effective i.e. 2k)

when they are in series the net k=(k1xk2)/(k1+k2) =k/2 (as per the conditions given in this question )

hence thee same formula can be applied to find the time period for this case.
