Question:-

Answer:-

Efficiency of Pipe A:Pipe B= 3:2.

Let total capacity of the tank be LCM of 22 and 33 = 66 units.

They are both kept open but Pipe B had to be closed 7 hours before the cistern got full.

In the 7 hours after Pipe B wss closed, Pipe A filled 7×3=21 units.

Hence Pipe A+B together filled 66-21= 45 units

No. of hours they took:

In 1 hour - they filled 5 units. Hence they took 45÷5=9 hours.
