The cost price of the jacket was Rs. 1750.
- Two jackets were brought at the same cost.
- Let the cost price of the jacket be x.
- One jacket is sold at 9% profit.
Selling price of the jacket is x + 0.09x = 1.09x
- Other jacket is sold at 15% profit.
Selling price of the other jacket is x + 0.15x = 1.15x
- Now the difference in the selling price of the jacket is Rs. 105.
- Therefore,
1.15x - 1.09x = 105
0.06x = 105
x = 105/0.06
x = 1750
- Cost price of the jacket was Rs. 1750.
