Step-by-step explanation:

let the cp of both be Rs x each

so

SP1 = x+15% of x

SP2= x - 10% of x

SP1 - SP2 = 200

x+1.15x - (x - 0.9x) = 200

The cost price of each jacket was Rs. 1750

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost price of the jackets be Rs. X.

Jacket 1 was sold at a 15% profit, i.e., 15% of x

SP of Jacket 1 = (x + 15/100x)

           = 115/100 x

Jacket 2 was sold at a 9% profit, i.e., 9% of x

SP of Jacket 2  = (x + 9/100 x)

 = 109/100 x

The difference in the SPs of the jackets was 105

Thus,

115/100 x – 109/100 x = 105

6/100 x = 105

X = 105 x 100 / 6

X = 1750

Thus, the cost price of each jacket was Rs. 1750
