Two laboratory thermometers are marked as ‘A’ and ‘B’. The bulb of

Darker objects absorb more heat than light colored objects. Therefore mercury level in thermometer B tends to increase more as compared to that in thermometer A. The reason for this is that dark clothes tend to reflect lesser solar radiation, hence they reflect lesser solar heat and appear hotter.
