Two lamps, one rated 100 W; 220 V, and the other 60 W; 220 V are connected in parallel to

electric mains supply. Find the current drawn by two bulbs from the line if the supply voltage is 220 V

Heya!

Here's how you do it:-

First, remember that  

Current= \frac{W}{V}

Here, two bulbs are there. Each has a different W ( wattage)

First, find the total W.

Total W= 100+60

W = 160 W

Next, let's apply this to our question:-

current =

 \frac{160}{220}

curent will be

0.72 A

( A means Ampere, current is written as A)
