two lamps rated 100 watt and 60 watt are connected in parallel to the electric main supply what current is drawn from the line if the supply voltage is 220 volt

P1 = 100 W

V = 220 V

I1 = P1/V = 100/220

P2 = 60W

I2 = P2/V = 60/220

Total current drawn = I1 + I2

100/220  + 60/220

160/220

8/11 Amp
