Two large sheets of aluminium foil identical in size and shape are taken. One sheet is crumbled into a tight ball and other sheet is kept as such. Now both the ball and sheet of foil are allowed to fall through air from same height and at the same time.

a) Which piece of foil falls with greater speed and why?

b) What force comes into play when an object moves through air and on what factor does it depend?

c) Why are the objects/bodies moving through fluids given special shapes? ​

1)the peace which is crumbled into a tight ball will fall with greater speed because it will face less air resistance

2) when an object moves through air gravity e and air resistance come into play

air resistance depend upon the shape of the moving object

3. to avoid the resistance moving objects are given special shapes
