Answer:

(i) Applicable for lighter elements:- Law of octaves was applicable only upto calcium.

(ii) Two elements in same shot:- Nawland adjusted two elements in the same slot (e.g.:- Co and Ni) without any explanation.

(iii) Unlike elements in same group:- For example:- Co and Ni are placed with Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine and Iodine having different set of properties.

(iv) Like elements in different groups:- Fe resembles with Co and Ni are placed in different groups.

(v) No space for future elements:- According to Newland, only 56 elements existed in nature and no more elements would be discovered in future.
