Two line segments AB and AC include an angle of 60 degree where AB = 5 cm and AC=7cm. Locate points P and Q on AB and AC respectively such that AP=3/4AB and AQ=1/4 AC. join PP and Q and measure the length PQ

Follow the follow steps to construct:

A) Draw AB = 5cm  Draw ∠BAX = 60°

B) Cut the ray AX at C such that AC = 7cm

C) as , Ap = ¾ of Ab that is we need to divide AB in the ratio of 3:1

C1) Draw an acute ∠BAY below the line AB

C2) mark 3 equal arcs on the ray AY ( A1,A2,A3,A4)

C3) Join A4 B then drwa a line A3 P parallel to A4 B which cuts AB at P

D) As, AQ = ¼ AC that is we need to divide AC in the ratio of 1:3

E) Join PQ and then measure it's length
