Two liquids X and Y form an ideal solution. At 300K ,Vapour pressure of the solutions containing 1mol of x and 3 mol of y is 550 mmHg. at the same temperature, if1mol of y is further added to this solution, vapour pressure of the solution increased by 10mmHg. vapour pressure of X and Y IN there pure states will be, respectively.

300k means that 27 c if the vapour pressure is equal=1mol=550 another one let us take as x
if 1more mol is aded it becomes4moles 560 mmhg.
the value of x=140 atp
y=720 atp

sherarathode: can you send me full solution for this question
praneethvarma18: im sorry i cant the same question was present in our text book so i have given the answer
sherarathode: are in 12 class & from where
praneethvarma18: no im in 10 th class IIT batch and in our chemistry IIT book the question is present
