Step-by-step explanation:

Let each lot of onion-contains x k

onion, then total cost price of these two lots together

= 10x + 15x= 25x

Selling price of whole lot

= 15x(x+x)=15×2x=30x

Profit percentage

= 30x−25x25x×100%

= 5x25x×100% = 20%

Answer:

Let one kg or each variety is purchased. Therefore total cost of 2 Kg. is 10 + 15 = 25/-. The average cost is Rs. 12.50 per Kg.

Selling price is Rs. 15/-

Profit per Kg. = 15/- (-) 12.50 = 2.50

%age Profit = 2.50 / 12.50 x 100 = 20%
